Have you recently done A Bad Thing to your computer? You know... like
remove/insert an external disk drive with the power still on?
Pulling drives out KILLS Apples!
However... do all the usual things... you know,
POWER OFF
remove external devices (joystick/mouse, ext drives, serial cables etc)
POWER ON
Do it wirk?
YES?
Goody it was one of the externals
NO?
Damn... Must be something inside, so...
do self-test
OPTION-APPLE-CONTROL-RESET or POWER UP with option an apple keys held down
Wait 1 minute, what happened?
any messages from the ROM?
what was the message (if any)
Is Kernel ok? RAM error? ROM error?
