This picture (it's too visually complex to be called a "logo") was
initially drawn by one of the original Apple partners, Rod Wayne,
sometime in late spring 1976.  Wayne bailed out of the Apple
partnership before the company was incorporated in 1977.

I don't have ready access to a scanner, but a a fairly crisp
rendition of it can be found on page 244 of _Fire_in_the_Valley_, by
Paul Freiberger and Michael Swaine.
