Flight Simulator came out for the Apple II and TRS-80 in the 
late '70s from subLogic. FS II came out for Apple II, Atari
and Commodore a few years later, also from subLogic.
 
Microsoft had some agreement with subLogic to market the MS-DOS
and Macintosh (I think) versions. Don't know who did the 
programming.
