For dust, I just attach a small nozzle to my Dustbuster, ground the Dustbuster
and myself, and vacuum the motherboard. (micro-attachments for vacuum cleaners
are easy to find) Compressed air just moves the dust around but works well
for grooves and the spaces between IC pins.
For grime, I try to scrub away the dirt with wet q-tips. If plain water
doesn't work, I dilute either ethanol or isopropanol and try again.
