[HELP] Apple ][+ (& //c)problems

Hi, I have Apple ][+ that a friend gave me. It appears to have a bad ROM chip.
(or two) It tries to boot, but locks, or if I hit reset, it jumps into the
machine monitor ("*" prompt). Any ideas? Do the ROMs go bad often? Thanks!

I also have an Apple //c that doesn't do anything, it apears to have a dead
CPU, but I verified that's not it. It might be the ROM, GLU, or MMU. Are any
of these known to go bad? (upon turning it on, the monitor is full of garbage,
and nothing at all happens)


Help with either is VERY appreciated!
