Hardly. A good deal of it has to do with people wanting to avoid large
phone bills. This doesn't fit in too well with your analogy.

You should have listened to your instincts. This is a preposterous
generalization. Do you really think "students" have it so easy? Do
you really think "students" don't have to deal with deadlines,
managing their finances, and people they don't like?

Although the original flame directed at Mr. King was out of line, its
writer had a good point: it's rude to post things to binaries groups
without a description. Mr. King _could_ have ignored the flame and
made a mental note to attach brief descriptions to his future posts;
that would have been the mature, _adult_ thing to do. Instead, he
responded with an arrogant, heavy-handed flame of his own.
