The two parts are normally stored together, since each is useless
without the other one! To convert a Macintosh HyperCard stack to the
IIgs, you need to use the Macintosh part of HyperMover to decompose
the stack, and then use the IIgs part to recreate it on the IIgs. The
same process also works in reverse.
I know of at least two sources:
- The System 6 Golden Master CD-ROM (available from Resource Central)
- Resource Central also sell it as a separate product
- It may be on the "HyperCard Developers Kit" (also from Resource
Central), but I'm not sure about that.
It is almost certainly on GEnie. I think it qualifies as "system
software", i.e. you aren't allowed to give away copies of it without
licensing it for distribution.
Regarding converting Macintosh stacks: it isn't a simple task, and
usually requires a lot of work to clean up the stacks after
conversion. You are likely to run into problems with stacks that use
the more powerful features of HyperCard IIgs 2.0 and 2.1, since the
IIgs version is missing many of these features. Any stack using
external commands or functions will be very difficult if not impossible
to convert.
If you would like to convert a Macintosh stack to the IIgs, I suggest
that you contact the author of the stack and get their permission first.
