STM and II in a Mac disk images

I would be grateful if anyone could let me know what are the differences 
between the disk image formats for STM 0.85r and II in a Mac (from 
Computer Applications Inc).  Each emulator will catalog each other's 
disks, but will not do anything else.  The STM images are identical to 
the DO (apl2em) format.  The II in a Mac images also appear to be in a DO 
format, but there may be subtle differences.  Any help from anyone who 
knows something about this would be very much appreciated.
