I have both a CFFA and an Uthernet card in my IIGS and in my IIE and
have wondered how best to transfer data to and from the flash cards.
While I mainly use CiderPress to take add and remove files, I would
love to be able to more easily do this over the network.
ADTPro offers a nice way to send disk images and this works for files
if I just send and receive from a RAM drive. I have also used Contiki
to get files from a web server but that is not quite as nice to use.
What I would like to be able to do is extract files using CiderPress
to an FTP folder on my PC and use Safe2 to sync that folder up with
the IIGS. This would make the adding and copying files on the IIGS
much easier and not require that I shut it down and move the card.
Does anyone know if this is possible and if not, I am open for other
suggestions on how best to do this.
Also, are there any options like this for an IIe
btw: I am only using ProDOS and not HFS volumes at this time.
Thanks,
Rob
Why not run an FTP server application on your PC and then the FTP
client on the IIGS using TCP/IP? Just give your boxes static IP
addresses and you'll be all set. I do this all the time and it works
just fine, in both directions.
