Something else of interest is that TCP/IP can be run over AppleTalk.
This is done using a router that will route the TCP/IP packets between
an AppleTalk network and a TCP/IP (i.e. ethernet) network.  One
way to extend an AppleTalk network is to use AppleTalk Remote Access,
a program that allows a remote Macintosh to dial in to a Mac connected to
a network and to use all of the AppleTalk and TCP/IP services located on
that network.

If someone would write an AppleTalk Remote Access client for the IIgs
to go along with GS/TCP, then those who use ARA would have an easy way
to connect to the network.  For that matter, the GS could then share files
with all of the Macs on the remote network, and print to remote network
printers, too!
