OK, I'm a total network neophyte. I am involved in helping some
co-workers get a GS set up on an Appletalk network and have several
questions.
1. The GS is a ROM1 with only a one meg apple memory card, and no HD or
FDHD. Is there any way to boot up with System 6.0.1 off of a 3.5 floppy
with Appletalk? It seems that there is no room on an 800k disk to
install the necessary Appletalk files along with the system software. Am
I missing something here?
2. Once I figure out how to boot up with network access (if
possible), is it possible to then reboot off of a ProDos HD on the
network that has a more full version of System 6.0.1? Or, am I limited
to just booting off of a floppy?
3. The above two are my main questions right now. I realize these
questions are probably answered in a book somewhere, but where? Where
would I get such a resource? I hate to pester people on the 'net if I
can get the info at my fingertips some other way.
