	I was scanning through the news, skipping messages left and
right, when I saw that favorite word of mine.  Sure to bring any
boring news group to new interesting levels.  A Flame.

	But what to my wonderous eyes should appear,
	an indequate man named Perlberger here.
	
	My eyes, how they twinkled. I grinned with glee.
	He said his computer was better you see.

	"Sexual inadequacy", Freud whispered to my ear,
	"He needs some way to alleviate his terrible fear."

	It might have been cars, but the poor little geek
	bought a computer on steriods to show he's not weak.

	I tried to restrain myself but to no avail.
	The flames reached up from the pits of Hell.

	I have a suggestion for you that might work.  First dump your
"modern" computer. (That runs a GUI _slower_ then my GS despite being
"State of the art")  Then open your phone book and look under
psychiatrists.  I am sure there would be one that would be more then
happy to help you with your sexual (or other) indequacy and it would
probably cost less then your computer too.  This person will most
likely tell you that bigger and flashier computers, cars or whatever
can not make up for a persons character flaws.

	Ian mentioned it, and I'm sure other people will mention it
too, but you obviously have a thick cranium so it can't hurt for a
me to try to pound the idea of optimization into your head too.
	See there exists on the Macintosh and Intel machines this idea
that code doesn't have to be efficient because if you throw enough mhz
at inefficient code it should be able to run at acceptable speeds.
However, on the II line we optimize our code so that we don't have to
deal with such stupidity.
	Last summer I was develping a RDB application for a company
which I designed using a 486/33 with 8 megs of ram.  With 4 megs of
ram Windows was simply unbearable.  Using 8 megs it was bearable, but
simply slow as molasses.  Now my little GS can run its windowing
system _easily_ with 2 megs of ram at speeds _faster_ then the 486/66
could with 8 megs of ram.

	Ok, I have a challenge for you.  You claim that the GS, or
perhaps any II, is not as functional as "today's" systems.   I want
you to find _2_ things that you can do on "today's" system that an
average, intelligent, computer user would want to do that I can't do
on my GS.  I'm talking things that an average home user would use
there computer for.  If you come back with things like "scan NASA
satellite data downloads for signs of life from other planets and
generate 5 dimensional plots of the likely spacial and temporal
locations of these planets" or something equally moronic we'll just
laugh at you. (Hi Dr. Tom ;)

	Oh, and games don't count.  If I wanted to play "Super
Renegade Street Doom X Figher IV" I'd buy myself a game machine like a
snes, 3D0 or Jaguar, or I'd go down to the local arcades.

	I didn't see any "FACTS" in what you stated.  Perhaps you
should type them in caps also next time.
