Actually, the problem occurred while the ROM 01 GSs were being produced.
If you had a GS with a serial number between xxxxxx and yyyyyyy then you
could take it back for a FREE swap. This was a while before the ROM 03
actually came out. If you have a ROM 03, then I don't know of any Apple
deal concerning the power supply.
( I think the deal I'm talking about was back in the late 80's ... '88 or
'89 ???)
