One might be reminded of a similar phrase from a forgotten era:

"... and I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling
kids!"

I submit that the above paragraph is just about as much in touch with
reality as Grady's.

PS: One might note the incredible power Grady attributes to Andy.  Maybe
