Yes, this will work.  The only small snafu is you'll 
have to reboot for the settings to take effect (or does the
DA control panel not require this?).  I elieve there is somewhere a desk
accessory which forces your control panels changes through with
out a reboot, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is
called.
