I had to replace the battery in my ROM 01 (original Woz machine, early
release but I bought it in mid 1987).  I think the battery was
replaced in 1988 or 1989.  It has been going fine since.

A friend's ROM 01, bought about six months before mine, needed a new
battery about a year ago.

I bought a ROM 03 in 1991, and the battery in that has been fine.
