A simple request

I know that my request is going to bring out the flames, but that's OK.
I would really like to request that people involved in the comp.sys.apple2*
hierarchies not use foul language in their postings.
Please remember that many schools and elementary school students are
exposed to your writings, and that the use of profanity in these
newsgroups can be upsetting to the parents and teachers of these
youngsters.
Use of profanity in this newsgroup has been increasing in recent weeks,
and I for one, would rather not have to read it. Plus, it's
disrespectful of those who are offended by profanity.
I can remember a year or two ago, a teacher asked the same request, and
said that if it didn't stop, he'd have to pull the net plug on his
classroom computer. And, by the way, that same teacher has not been
seen in these parts since then. Do we want to turn people off? NO.
The English language is a wonderful language, and one can be very
expressive and creative with words. You don't need to use foul language
to get your point across.
Please think before posting; this is not an .alt group.
Thank you in advance for heeding this request.
Joe
