Pins 1 and 2 are closest to the front of the computer (closest to the power
light). When A+ magazine wrote about this capability, they stated that your
IIgs may lock up if you connect the wires backwards to pins 1 and 2. They
said the lock up they got was so extreme that they had to remove their
memory card and replace to restart their IIgs. I didn't have that problem
when I accidently put the wires in backwards the first time :).
