I was thinking about tracking down an original extended until I found out that
ctrl and caps lock are backwards on it too. I think I'll get an extended II
now to replace this gross standard II on my Q700. I use an original standard
keyboard on my IIgs and I'm very happy with it. Large keys including an L
shaped return key, nice feel, ctrl and caps lock in the right places etc.
The problem is that I've about worn a smooth spot on the space bar which is
getting me urinated off a little.

So do they do the same things though?

I like the feel of the extended II pretty well. It's a lot better than the
standard II which is pretty flimsy.

I have a buddy who uses an extended II with his IIgs. I borrowed it not long
ago and put it on my IIgs since I had heard that the lights work properly
on an extended when it's connected to a ROM 3. The only light we could get
to light was caps lock though. We didn't know how to get the others to come
on.
