The IIe Tech manuals states:

+5V: 2.5A
+12V 1.5A continuous
     2.5A intermittent (see note)

note: The IIe can operate safley up to 20 minutes at higher load if
followed by at least 10 minutes of normal load.

The worst you can do is power down your system :) I've tested Apple safety
limits on power supply (the cats help too)
