    GSymbolix is put out by Bright Software (based in Switzerland, I think)
and got a good review by GS+ mag.  But it seems to be difficult to get ahold
of, because U.S. vendors don't like to carry it...

(Re: Reading Character Bitmap ROMs)

    There must be some way to read the ROM to get a font file of the
standard characters, 'cause that's what SuperConvert 3 does when you
convert a text file to a graphics file...  reads the ROMs, even says
so in the docs...
