I don't know about Escher, but I know that GSHK has a "Show all files"
radio button in the Open... dialog box. Use this to open your NoiseTracker
1.3 file. The other possibility is that it's a BinScii file, not a GSHK
file. In that case, you need a BinScii decoder. I could e-mail you a
self-decoding BinScii decoder file if you need one.

BTW, the latest version of NoiseTracker is v1.4. I could also e-mail you
this one, but it's a large file and I would need to know your e-mail size
limit.
