Apple /// 5.25-->Apple ][ ?

	I just received an old Apple III external 5.25 drive, which may or
may not be functioning (have no way of telling w/o an Apple III). It looks
like a cross between the "Apple Disk ][" and "Apple 5.25" drive, though
it comes in a baige-colored plastic case, r/w LED under the shutter-door,
and connector (26-pin male) on back for daisy-chaining other drives.

	Is there a way to run this drive from an Apple II by using the
Disk ][ controller (maybe change PROMS?) or some special or hacked
controller card? It has a 26-pin (female) connector, so that already keeps
you from hooking it up to a 20-pin (male) Apple II floppy controller.
Although there's a warning labeled on back saying _only_ to connect the
drive to Apple /// machines, I have a feeling there's a way to make it
work on Apple IIs by changing the cable. (The circuit-board inside looks
simular to the Disk ][ board, and it looks like the same Shugart 5.25
mech as well -- I know the Apple /// SOS used 143k to format disks, so...).

btw -- If there's an Apple III user out there who wants it, I'd be willing
to exchange it for other hardware.. :)
