Re: KOALA PAD: change 16-pin plug for db9 nine pin plug ??

I can't vouch for the Koala Pad itself, but you will find this information
useful if you don't already have it handy:

GAME I/O PORT CONNECTIONS
(9-pin) (16-pin) Signal
  pin pin name
------- -------- ------------------------
   1 3 Pushbutton #1
   2 1 +5v Power
   3 8 Ground
   4 7 Game Control 2
   5 6 Game Control 0
   6 4 Pushbutton #2
   7 2 Pushbutton #0
   8 10 Game Control 1
   9 11 Game Control 3
   - 5 Utility Strobe
   - 9 No Connection
   - 12 Annunciator #3
   - 13 Annunciator #2
   - 14 Annunciator #1
   - 15 Annunciator #0
   - 16 No Connection
And, the pin locations...9-pin viewed head-on, 16-pin viewed looking down from
the keyboard end of the CPU...
    ------------- ---------
    \ 5 4 3 2 1 / |08 09|
     \ 9 8 7 6 / |07 10|
      --------- |06 11|
                        |05 12|
                        |04 13|
                        |03 14|
                        |02 15|
                        |01 16|
                        ---------
Hope this helps. Don't count on color code being standard at all. Also, the
design of the Koala Pad may make it difficult to determine which connections
are GC0 and GC1. You'll probably need to open the pad case and use a
continuity checker to verify which color lead goes to which pin on the header.
I can almost guarantee that the color code is different than for anyone else's
equipment.

Good luck!
