Sys6.0.1: Postscript print to disk

In the "What's New" file that came with System 6.0.1, there is mention of 
the fact that the DC Printer control panel now allows you to choose 
LaserWriter, which they say is potentially useful for printing Postscript 
files to disk.  What are they talking about?  How do you do this?  I have 
been using Publish It 4 to print Postscript files to disk for years.  
Would this new capability allow any GS program to print a postscript file 
to disk?  Or, is this just something that is a new feature laying there 
waiting for some programmer to implement it into a program?  If I can 
print Postscript to disk now, please tell me how.  Thanks in advance.  --
