Re: System 6 & HFS Volumes

On a related note, I just got my new hard drive which was formatted and
partitioned on a Mac. I also got an old Apple SCSI card with which I'm
attempting to use with the hd. I'm running 6.0.1 with the HFS.FST and
and Innerdriver 40 (IDE HD) in slot 6.

The Apple SCSI card has 341-0803 AppleCopr 1989 sticker on it. The card
itself has AppleComputer 820-0153-A 1990 which leads me to believe that
this is a Rev A card. It has 4 dipswitches which I assume is for ID#s.
They are currently all closed.

I've put the SCSI card in slot 7 and boot off slot 6 (Innerdrive) and
hope that my HD will show up in the Finder as HFS volumes but the card
only wants to initialize the drive. How ca I get it to read the HFS
partitions with this SCSI card? Will I have to shell out and get the
Apple DMA card or RamFast?

Thanks for any help,
