Re: MIDI Synth archives
James L Brookes (jamesb@ecst.csuchico.edu) and Soenke Behrens
(behrenss@Informatik.TU-Muenchen.DE) wrote some nice things about my
MIDI Synth uploads, including...
> Hmm, how about some Bruckner? Telemann? ;-)
I've just been catching whatever "floats by" in alt.binaries.sounds.*
groups. Last fall, several guys posted a huge number of MIDI songs;
since then things have tapered off a bit. Some of the songs don't
translate well, either because of the instruments available or because
of the number of simultaneous notes that are played.
If you locate a favorite piece in MIDI format and e-mail it to me,
I'll be glad to give a try at translating it.

Man...I'm having trouble keeping all of this stuff straight! I hope
I've kept all the MIDI files in the correct directories, but as I was
translating I found a Mozart sonata in several different places. At
least I know enough to tell Mozart from Chopin!
At the moment, I've got 12 more archives ready to go...
