Actually Commodore didn't create the Amiga.  They bought the company that made 
the computer.  It was alot cheaper than actually designing the computer
themselves.  The Amiga is also not that well thought of by their users.
Especially users who thought Commodore wasn't spending resources to 
advertise the advance features of the Amiga.  As I understand it  Commodore
had no idea on who to sell the computer to.

I think Apple is too fragmented into too many directions to care about the GS.
Especially now.  Then again they are practicing the philosophy of not putting 
their eggs into one basket.  I see this is as a direction by them to try and 
stay alive in the current market
