Try the Comrex Commander Deluxe. It's an ugly looking beast, but I've bought
half a dozen or more and they always work great. I've put them through hell
and back (using a very old one on my //e right now) and they still come back
fighting.. Last two I bought were from Altech Electronics for like $9.95.
They come with an adapter for the 16 pin port. (Neat things.. Were designed
to work on computers like the apple which required pot joysticks, but also be
compatable with the Atari 2600 & computers and the C64/128 which took switch
type joysticks.) The reason I've bought so many isn't because I've worn them
out (although I did kinda screw up one or two as an undergrad with friends
getting pissed at a game and throwing them across the room...Ok, I did it once
or twice too!). However, I've bought them and given them away or sold them
to others.. I've still got a Comrex dual disk drive that works great too.
Came with a lousy controller card, but the drives are GREAT!
