This sounds exactly like the problem I'm having with the usergroups
GS. I didn't get a chance to fix it because I couldn't make it to the
last Hardware SIG meeting. The current theory is a blown Slotmaker.

Yup... same situation here. Try swapping out cards and the hard
drives with another GS to see if you can isolate a hardware problem. A
fried Slotmaker isn't good news.
