BUG that affects PROTERM

Well earlier someone noted that there was a problem with proterm and a
bunch of goodies installed.  He also said that when shift booting the
problem disappearded.  At that time he could not find the actual culprit
but after many tests, I have found that there are two culprits that
affect the serial ports.

As many people would have suspected, TWILIGHT II is a main candidate.
The other one which is quite new is  KEYNOTIFIER.
