     Question: Why so hardware dependent?

I have a Toshiba XM-2100a SCSI CD-ROM that has worked admirably on both
my IIGS (with Apple Rev.C SCSI card) and my 486 PC (with ProAudio Spectrum
16 sound card/SCSI controller). Why would I need to change my GS hardware
to make that thing work?
