Get used to the real world. In my dorm here, and in the computer
labs here, we have at least 10 different styles of keyboards: Sun (old
& new), NeXT (my vote for best feel), HP9000 s400, HP9000 s735, Mac
Plus, Mac SE (Apple Extended Kbd), Mac IIci (Apple Extended II), DEC
VT240, and 6+ IBM keyboard styles. Since I'm not a touch-typist, I
find that I have much less problems adapting to all the styles than
faster typists. Getting all the manufacturers to agree would be
difficult, if not impossible.
Just some random thoughts at nearly 2:00 AM :)
