Tell us more. I have looked hard for a way to set up 3-across records in 
AWGS, but cannot find any way to do it.

To make it simple, suppose I've got three fields: NAME, ADDRESS, 
CITYSTZIP. I have defined them as text fields and arranged them one atop 
the other in Definition mode. How do I get them in the second and third 
columns? Is there a way to copy them there? Or is there some menu item 
that lets me choose 3-column layout? 

Are you sure you're talking about AW _GS_, not the 8-bit AppleWorks?
