This discussion regarding interrupt problems reinforces my personal
technique of booting into ProDos (8bit) then running GSOS only when
I want to use desktop software. I simply renamed the PRODOS file (the
GSOS file that is) to 'Boot.Sys601' and copied the P8 file into the
root directory as 'PRODOS', which it is anyway. I put an 8bit program
launcher as the first .system file and voila'! From there I run
Appleworks, Proterm, and several utilities which constitute my main
computer usage. This technique should prevent the interrupt conflict
altogether. It offers the added advantage of booting faster than GSOS.
