Both the first and last device on a SCSI chain should be terminated. However,
that is still hard to figure out sometimes. I believe the older Apple SCSI
cards were not terminated, and a terminator was needed at the first as well as
the last drive. But the newer Apple SCSI High Speed (DMA) card was terminated,
and only a terminator on the last device needed a terminator. I think the
Ramfast cards are terminated also.

And then one (and only one) device needs to supply terminator power. Apple
cards do _not_ supply terminator power, so one of the devices on the chain
needs to.

Of course, some people happen to get along fine even without meeting the speci-
fications, which leads to even more confusion.

In summary, the first and last devices need terminators; one device needs to
supply terminator power.
