yes. At least one level. Never tested more.

Ciderpress should be OK, but you can not ever delete or rename files. Only write once and reformat if changes needed.

Currently no. This will require a way to switch the z80 to image selection mode *without* typing on the Apple's keyboard. So an alternative input device will be needed.
