I had the Finder information saving on at the time. This was explained
to me by one of the very nice people here on the net. (Thanks! :-) ).
What happens is that >>>SOMETIMES<<<, not always, the finder gets
confused (under 6.0) and thinks, when a ProDOS8 program has been run
and exited from, that the last size is the current size of the window.
This is because (as you stated later in your message) the information is
saved off to the Finder.Data file. But that's ok, I've upgraded to
System 6.0.1 and turned the "Save to disk" option off. So now I am a
lot happier. :)

This too was explained to me. (Thanks again guys and gals! :) ) I have
since then deleted every Finder.Data file I have come across. All I have
now is Finder.Defaults in the system folder. I'm much happier and things
seem to launch quite a bit faster without the "save to disk" option
being turned on (which, if you think about it, you'd expect - duh. ;) ).
