I have the Apple High-Speed SCSI Card.  I also used the original SCSI
card (with Rev C ROM).  There is a major difference in speed between
these cards, and the HS SCSI supports more SCSI devices than the Rev C,
such as SyQuest removable cartridge drives - they work on the Rev C,
but the SCSI card doesn't allow you to swap cartridges (it thinks the
old disk is still there, which will probably result in destruction of
data on the second cartridge).

The HS SCSI includes much better versions of the utility programs (but
they mostly require a HS SCSI).

The RamFAST SCSI card is another option.  It is faster than the HS
SCSI but costs a lot more and I have a very low opinion of it from the
times I've seen one and from what I've heard on the network.

I'd say that is much too expensive.  A brand new HS SCSI is about
US$110 (the RamFast is US$180).  I wouldn't pay more than US$25 for a
Rev C SCSI.  In fact, I wouldn't buy one at all if I afford a HS SCSI.
