Some time ago I posted about adding a 720k 3.5 MS Dos generic drive
to the spare bay in my PC Transporter Transdrive. I had a number of
replies suggesting that it was easy to do - just a matter of connecting
the already existing cable and power supply leads.
One person suggested there was also a jumper on the PCT card to fix
but had no details. Having purchased a 2nd hand Toshiba drive with
all the mounting hardware, I have found that the PCT will not
recognise it.
If anyone has any suggestions, patches, or jumper block details
that might assist me in getting the drive to work, I would appreciate
and email!
BTW, the MS Dos read and WRITE tools from Peter Watson work so well
that I was prompted to upgrade by buying the 720k drive to save file
splitting of MS Dos downloads on the GS which I transfer to the
Transdrives. I think I will post my review of Peters utilities to this group
as they are well worth it for any SuperDrive, PCT or other MSDos drive
connected to a GS.
