Weird problem with LineEdit patch

I have SwitchIt! installed, with SetStart pointing to it, and the
"Execute Finder" (or something like that :-) checkbox checked in SW! But
that seems a bit irrelevant.
The problem manifests itself in the following way: when I boot normally,
and the LE patch is installed, I see first the icons of all the inits,
then the Sound CDEV icon, and before the TypeSet DA icon comes up I get
an error box that says something like

	GS/OS Error: $0002	LC Bank: 0
	Address: 00/F755

				Restart

However, if i OpenApple-boot, so that the SetStart icon is crossed over,
everything goes smoothly. If I remove the LE patch, I can boot with
SwitchIt!

So what gives? An incompatibility between SetStart and the LE patch? If
so, why (in anddition to "why?") does the Sound CDEV icon appear, which
comes after the SetStart CDEV in the directory?

Since the LE problem isn't very serious, if I remember correctly, I can
live without it, but you know, inquiring minds and all that.
