binscii files on a LC with a //e card

I see that one of the files for system 6.0.1 is over 800k in size.
I do not have a superdrive on my gs and was woundering if I could use
a Mac with the //e card to unbinscii this file. I would like some info on
how I would transfer the file to the mac hard drive and partition the drive
in prodos so that binscii would be able to read the file. any info on how
to do this would be greatly appreciated
