Yikes.  That does narrow it down a bit.

We've had some problems with Kangaroo and HardPressed before, and since
HardPressed is the most recent addition, everybody tends to blame HP. :-(

Hierarchic (and Kangaroo) do have some problems, but they're being fixed
as they're identified.
