Modem help needed

I am considering a faster modem for my IIgs. I am still
at 1200 baud.
Can anyone give me some suggestions or advice?
What about faxing? Can you either send or receive fax
with the IIgs and one of the fax-modems? What software
would it take?
I am open to suggestions and even offers to see me a
faster modem.
