One way to check out Apples is to remove ALL cards (with power off) and then
turn the computer on. If it beeps and you get the AppleSoft prompt, then the
problem is likely a bad card. Put cards back until it dies again.
If one certain card kills the computer then that card is BAD.
If it dies when alot of cards are installed then the power supply may be
overloaded. If it is dead with NO cards installed, then the power supply is
the most likely suspect. The cheapest fix for bad PS is splice a "old" IBM PS
onto the cable from Apple PS to the motherboard. The PS will have to remain
outside the Apple's case, but "old" IBM PS (63 watt) sell for about
$5.00-$10.00 (used). 63 watts is almost twice what the Apple PS can put out.
