Probably because like many of use the reorganization of the already small
comp.sys.apple2 led to confusion at our Internet sites and really, in my 
opinion, has served to seriously dampen the "spirit" of the AppleII() world
by turning comp.sys.apple2.misc into a silly conference and the others into
either intimidating clubs or newsgroups which are not accessible by those of
us who used to have access to everyone. Personally, I rarely read          
comp.sys.apple2.misc anymore even though I am still very interested in the GS.
As for the other groups I can't, and never will be able to, get them.
