Okay, I'm going to reply to my own question.  I took the time to go through my
Inits/DAs/CDEVs/FExts last night, starting from a "clean" system and activating
them one by one.  The Quickie GS software worked fine until I enabled the 
GameHacker CDA, which I think is causing the crashing problem.
