SCSI and AppleTalk QUESTION
Hi netters!
I have an opportunity to buy a dirt cheap 2nd hand SCSI drive.
Now since I have a GS and a PowerBook, here's my question:
Can a Mac recognize a HFS partition created by a GS?
It needn't boot from it, the Mac has its own internal thing. But when I
get that HD, I'd like to get rid of my Vulcan (swap it for something
mor exciting at my dealer's...) but I need a HD for my GS. So I need
to put a Prodos Partition to boot from, but the rest could be HFS.
I would then use the HD for both computers (the plug and unplug game...)
So would this be possible?
Since we are at it: is it possible to boot a GS over AppleTalk with a
bare System 7.1 on the Mac, or is the Server Software needed? I followed
the manual's instructions, but couldn't get the GS to boot from my
PowerBook's HD. (Accessing it is just fine).
Any help is greatly appreciated. Please email me, because I don't have
the time to scan csa2 thoroughly every time, unfortunately!.....But I'll
try anyway....
