There is something else you might want to consider. Printer cables and
modem cables are not always the same. One of things we always check when
working with customers is the type of cable they're using. The
difference is that pins 2 and 3 on modem cables are interchanged. If
you're attempting to drive and ImageWriter via a modem cable, you might
want to consider getting a "Mac-to-ImageWriter2" printer cable.
