    But that's taking the hard way out.  Just write a single "printer
driver" whose output device is the SHR screen.  Instead of generating
printer control codes, it produces QuickDraw II commands and then uses
the list to draw on the screen.  You can add other nifty features like
scaling, zooming, saving as a PICT or paint file, etc.  There's nothing
that says a printer driver has to output to a printer... Actually, I'm
surprised Vitesse or Seven Hills hasn't done this yet.  You don't have
to worry about printer quirks or the interface card, so it should be
fairly easy to write.
